A Teenager Trying to do the Right thing

Peter Parker, an average teen in high school, gets bitten by a radioactive spider that changes everything. With the proportionate strength of a spider, he can do anything a spider can. Letting a felon run free, Peter’s Uncle Ben gets shot and dies. Before doing so instills a sense of responsibility to do the right thing, helping everyone with the power he has been “gifted”.

Into The Movie-Verse

While the comics, portray Spider-Man as 17-18 years of age some even going as young as 15. However, the films while keeping him in high school always manage to make him look older. Debuting him on the big screen, Tobey Maguire took on great power in the 2002 film directed by Sam Raimi. The Amazing Spider-Man duology comes after with Andrew Garfield (Social Network). After 8 long years Sony gave rights to Marvel Studios to use Spider-Man in their projects. Tom Holland, finally joining the likes of Robert Downey Junior, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth in the MCU.

Multiversal Collision

Spider-Man No Way Home, released December 15th, 2021. Which begins with Spider-Mans identity being revealed by Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio. Moving forward, Tom Holland with the help of Benedict Cumberbatch's’ Doctor Strange casts a spell. In turn bringing the Spider-Men from the other universes to his. What's better than having one spider-Man but instead 3 of them.

The Other Side of Existence

Similarly to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Detective Comics (DC) has their own universe separate entities. Within that universe there is Batman, or Bruce Wayne billionaire orphan with anger issues. Unlike Spider-Man, Batman works primarily on Vengeance, and the “knight”.  Just like Marvel, the DC universe has multiple earths of their own with similar scenarios but different cast of characters.

Strength of Great Power: Morality

Teenagers relate to Spider-Man, or more specifically Peter Parker. Anyone who is struggling to find himself in a world that requires so much. Managing to work on his own, Parker does everything to help the everyday person. Kindness does not come at any charge, making it free to help those who need help. As many could argue, having the same attitude and energy as Spider-Man would help the world be more positive in nature.
