Last week Hasbro released images of new products for the upcoming Spider-Man Brand New Day film. The descriptions on the back of the boxes or one of the characters might point to a pivotal plot line within the film. The products are a part of the Marvel Legends series line, which are 6” action figures that are released alongside both Marvel shows and movies. For Spider-Man Brand New Day, a Hulk figure and a Spider-Man figure.

As for the Hulk figure, the description on the back of his box is what really brings suspicion towards his role in the movie. His description says, “Spider-Man is surprised to see the Hulk again after so much time has passed and has no idea if Hulk will remember him. Will Hulk be a friend or foe?” The figure incorporates two head sculpts, both looking angry. Supposedly leads fans to believe that he may in fact be against the wall crawler.

The Spider-Man figure is somewhat of a re-release from the No Way Home movie. However, the suit looks darker and less shiny, making fans wonder if it really is the same suit from the previous film. The storyline of this new movie is supposed to be set 4 years after the events from No Way Home, so having a new suit makes sense.

While fans knew that the Hulk was going to be in the new movie, how he was going to be implemented was unknown. In the comics, when the world forgot who Peter Parker is, Hulk does actually remember him. Bruce Banner had forgotten who he was, like in the trailer showing how he does not know who Peter is. The movie may be trying to create their own spin on that same storyline which happened in the panels.
